Cineflix Media and Ideacom International strike a Partnership
Cannes – October 16, 2017 – Cineflix Media Inc. and Montreal-based factual producer Ideacom International announced today a new partnership that brings together Ideacom’s expertise and track record in Canada-France co-productions with Cineflix’s production, financing, and distribution resources.
Cineflix and Ideacom will focus on the development and production of high quality, blue-chip documentaries, partnering with networks in France, Canada, the US, Europe, and international markets.
Led by highly respected producer Josette D. Normandeau, Ideacom’s credits include high-rating series such as: Aliens of the Deep (CBC, Canal D, and France 3), Voyage of the Continents (Discovery, Radio- Canada, and ARTE), and Apocalypse World War I (France 2, TV5 Québec Canada, National Geographic, and Discovery).
The new venture was negotiated by Andre Barro, Cineflix Media’s Executive Producer, Co-Productions, and is the company’s latest move to grow its international co-production business. Barro recently set up with leading UK indie Talesmith on Rediscovering T.rex, a ground-breaking co-production documentary for the BBC, CBC, France Télévisions, and Canal D, which is being launched by Cineflix Rights at MIPCOM 2017.

Josette and her team at Ideacom join forces with Cineflix’s existing partners which include joint ventures with Duncan Gray’s Twenty Six 03 Entertainment and Tony Wood’s Buccaneer Media, a distribution and production deal with Monty Hall’s Seadog Productions, and a co-production partnership with André Barro.
