MEDIA RELEASE: Cineflix Rights appoints Stephanie Coon as new VP, Sales, North America
Cineflix Rights has appointed Stephanie Coon to the newly-created, standalone role of VP, Sales, North America as the distributor expands its operations in the region, following the recent hire of Greg Johnson as EVP, Americas and Asia Pacific.
Based in Los Angeles and reporting to Johnson, Coon will be responsible for selling Cineflix Rights’ growing slate of scripted and factual content to buyers across the US, English-speaking Canada, and pan-regional SVOD platforms. Working collaboratively with the distributor’s acquisitions and global sales teams, she will also support Cineflix Rights’ successful strategy of greenlighting new content from producer partners by identifying and delivering presales. Coon joins Cineflix Rights from her role as Director of US Sales at ITV Studios Global Partnerships.
Greg Johnson, EVP, Americas and Asia Pacific, Cineflix Rights said: “Stephanie has a great track record of selling major scripted and factual brands to a wide range of buyers across multiple streaming, cable, and network platforms. As we target further growth across North America, I can’t think of a better person to work with to deliver our sales strategy.”
Stephanie Coon added: “The Cineflix Rights team has a reputation as one of the best in the business, and I’m thrilled to be joining forces with them and to be reuniting with Greg to supercharge North American sales.”
Cineflix Rights’ North American unscripted sales to networks and streamers span the history, environment, wildlife and lifestyle genres including National Geographic’s recent acquisition of Ancient Bodies: Secrets Revealed (8×60’, Farpoint Films for Super Channel, Canada) for its global channels, together with Mysterious Islands (10×60’, Shark Teeth Films for Super Channel, Canada) which takes viewers on an unforgettable adventure to explore the most extraordinary and enigmatic islands on the planet.
