MEDIA RELEASE: Cineflix Rights closes multiple CEE deals for 250 hours of factual and scripted content

Cineflix Rights has closed multiple deals with Central and East European broadcasters for more than 250 hours of scripted and factual content covering the lifestyle, true crime, history, and science genres.

AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE) has acquired a slate of lifestyle titles including Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers (14×60’, Scott Brothers Entertainment for HGTV, US and Canada), Beyond the Farm: Men at Work (4×60’, Renegade Pictures and GroupM Motion Entertainment for Channel 5, UK), Sue Perkins into Alaska (3×60’, Chalkboard TV and GroupM Motion Entertainment for Channel 5, UK) for its Spektrum Home channel across Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, together with Jimmy’s Taste of Florida (5×60’, Rock Oyster Media Productions for ITV, UK) and Ainsley’s Taste of Malta (5×60’, Rock Oyster Media Productions for ITV, UK) for its TV Paprika channel across Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, and Moldova.

AMCNI CNE has also bought both seasons of cozy crime drama Whitstable Pearl (12×60’, Buccaneer for Acorn TV, UK).

Viasat World has bought series for its recently launched channel in Poland, Viasat True Crime, including Murder Uncut (10×60’, Law&Crime Productions for True Crime Network, US), Killer Cases (Season 3, 12×60’, Law&Crime Productions for True Crime Network, US), and Clown and the Candyman (4×60’, Cineflix Productions for Investigation Discovery, US). The international broadcaster has also acquired Secret Nazi Science (8×60’, Go Button Media for Super Channel, Canada) for its Viasat History channel  and Hidden Frontiers Arabia With Reza Pakravan (6×60’, A-OK Media House for Discovery, US)  for its Viasat Explore channel, both airing across Central and Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.

In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the Canal+ VOD streaming platform has licensed a raft of dramas including Happily Married (Seasons 1-3, 28×60’, Productions Casablanca for Radio-Canada) and Irvine Welsh’s Crime (Seasons 1&2, 12×60’, Buccaneer and Off Grid Film &TV for ITVX/Britbox, UK).

HRT Croatia has acquired travel and food series Sue Perkins into Alaska (3×60’, Chalkboard TV and GroupM Motion Entertainment for Channel 5, UK) and Jimmy’s Taste of Florida (5×60’, Rock Oyster Media Productions for ITV, UK).

Finally, Antenna Entertainment has taken a number of property and renovation titles including Season 2 of Holiday Homes in the Sun (40×60’, Raise the Roof Productions and GroupM Motion Entertainment for Channel 5, UK). The series will be aired in Poland, Romania, and Adria on the portfolio’s renewed AXN Spin channels featuring brand new true crime and lifestyle contents.
