MEDIA RELEASE: Cineflix Rights closes multiple deals for Pernel Media’s blue-chip history titles
Cineflix Rights has closed multiple international deals for three blue-chip history titles from French producer Pernel Media.
Alexander the Great: Legendary Conqueror (3×60’, Pernel Media for Canal + Group, France, and TV5 Quebec, Canada), which showcases the monumental exploits of one of history’s greatest military leaders, has been acquired by Viasat World for Viasat History across CEE and Scandinavia, RTL (Germany), ZDF (Germany), SBS (Australia), and Hearst Networks (Turkey and Middle East). The deals follow previous sales to Mediaset (Italy) and Movistar (Spain).
Vikings: The Empire of the North Sea (6×60’, Pernel Media for Canal + Group, France, and TV5 Quebec, Canada), an immersive journey chronicling the epic rise and fall of history’s first-and-only Viking empire, has been sold to Viasat World also for Viasat History across CEE and Scandinavia, ZDF (Germany), Disney (Benelux), YLE (Finland), and SBS (Australia). The series has also sold to Movistar (Spain).
Ramses The Great: King of Ancient Egypt (6×60’, Pernel Media for Canal + Group, France), which features cutting-edge science and unique access to the latest archaeological discoveries to expose the man behind the myth, has been acquired by ZDF (Germany), DRTV (Denmark), and Discovery (Iberia). The series has previously sold to Hearst Networks for viewers in the UK, Benelux, Middle East and Africa, RTL (Germany), Mediaset (Italy), CBC (Canada), and Czech TV, Viasat World for Viasat History across CEE and Scandinavia, AMC History (Iberia), Société Radio-Canada and CBC (Canada), and Czech TV.
