MEDIA RELEASE: Cineflix Rights on board as worldwide distribution partner for upcoming Crave drama In Memoriam

Eight-part series produced by Passez-Go and Bell Media in association with C3 Media

Cineflix Rights has boarded new drama series In Memoriam, as worldwide distribution partner. The new French-language eight-part psychological thriller, about a family torn apart as they battle for their father’s inheritance, is being produced by Passez-Go (Chouchou, De Pierre en fille, Lou et Sophie, Pour toujours plus un jour, Le Chalet) and Bell Media in association with C3 Media (So Long, Marianne, Sugar, Kings of Coke) for Bell Media’s Crave network.

In Memoriam (8×60’) is the story of Julien, Judith, Mathieu and Lucile, siblings who have felt like orphans for as long as they can remember. Their mother Mathilde took her own life when they were all still young – and each one in turn then broke off contact with their incredibly wealthy father Paul-Émile, believing him to be at the root of the tragedy. Following the death of their father, the children, their spouses, and a mysterious total stranger are all invited to the reading of his will. To their shock, they learn that none of them are due to inherit as much as one cent. Their only hope of getting their hands on his fortune is to take part in a series of challenges he has contrived to determine which one of his children might win his inheritance.

However, the increasingly sinister ordeals reveal more than a few dark corners of family history while sowing mounting pain and chaos, and bringing up long-forgotten past wounds. Even from beyond the grave, it seems that Paul-Émile still has control over them.

In Memoriam is written by Pierre-Marc Drouin (Doute raisonnable) and Pascale Renaud-Hébert (M’entends-tu), and is directed by Marie-Claude Blouin (Chouchou, De Pierre en fille, Le Chalet) and Félix Tétreault (Chouchou, Lou et Sophie). The producer is Vicky Bounadère, the content producer is Patrick Martin, and the line producer is Marie-Christine Lavoie. The series is produced by PassezGo and Bell Media in association with C3 Media for Crave. Marie-Claude Blouin, Félix Tétreault, and Vicky Bounadère are executive producing for Passez-Go, Sophie Parizeau for Bell Media, and Pablo Salzman and Jason Simms for C3 Media.
