Apple Strikes Co-Production Deal for Thrilling Original Series Tehran
New series from writer Moshe Zonder and Kan 11 to join Apple TV+ Original Slate
Tehran, a highly anticipated, new espionage thriller from Fauda writer Moshe Zonder, is set to join Apple’s growing slate of sweeping international drama series. Apple has partnered with Cineflix Rights and Israeli network Kan 11 to co-produce Tehran, and Apple TV+ will be the exclusive streaming home to the series around the world.
Tehran tells the utterly thrilling story of a Mossad agent who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran that places her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy. The series stars young Israeli actress Niv Sultan (Flawless, She Has It, Temporarily Dead); critically acclaimed actor Shaun Toub (Homeland, Crash); international star Navid Negahban (Homeland, Legion, Aladdin); Shervin Alebani (Baghdad in My Shadow); Liraz Charhi (A Late Quartet); and Menashe Noy (Big Bad Wolves, Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem).
The series is created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn, and directed by Daniel Syrkin. Zonder also serves as writer alongside Omri Shenhar. The executive producers are Dana Eden and Shula Spiegel for Donna and Shula Productions, Alon Aranya for Paper Plane Productions, Julien Leroux for Paper Entertainment, Peter Emerson for Cineflix Studios, Moshe Zonder, Omri Shenhar, Daniel Syrkin and Eldad Koblenz for Kan 11.
