Cineflix Rights signs first look development deal with Mayhem Entertainment

Cineflix Rights, the UK’s largest independent TV content distributor, has signed a first look development deal with Canadian producer Mayhem Entertainment. The partnership gives Cineflix Rights exclusive worldwide distribution rights to Mayhem’s upcoming shows, including new series The Dog Dudes, which will be launching at MIPCOM 2018.  

Mayhem Entertainment was recently founded by Tyson Hepburn and Matt Shewchuk. Based in Vancouver, the company’s mission is to produce groundbreaking television aimed at pushing the limits of cinematography and storytelling in both unscripted and scripted spaces. 

The Dog Dudes (8×30’) are Dylan and Darijan Northstar, professional dog trainers, behaviorists, and psychology experts who have mastered the use of ‘Pack Wisdom’ to correct anxious, aggressive, and dominating canines. Using this ancient technique together with their pack of Siberian Huskies, Dylan and Darijan have the remarkable ability to rehabilitate and reintegrate troubled dogs in a way no one else can.

The deal was brokered by Anthony Kimble, SVP, Co-Production and North American Acquisitions at Cineflix Rights, who said: “Mayhem is an exciting new company whose founders have a great track record in directing and producing award-winning, character-driven shows for international broadcasters. We’re really pleased to be partnering with them as they build their business and look to expand into scripted alongside factual content.”
