The rest of Syfy’s scripted slate will return in the summer.
The NBCUniversal-owned cable network has renewed horror drama SurralEstate for a third season while also setting return dates for Chucky, Reginald the Vampire and The Ark.
The second half of Chucky season three will return April 10 at 10 p.m. The first half of season three was the most-watched season of any USA/Syfy series since 2021 in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demo with 971,000 viewers. Zackary Arthur stars, with Brad Dourif reprising his voice role as the doll from hell. Jennifer Tilly also reprises her role from the films.
Reginald the Vampire returns for its second season on May 8 at 10 p.m. with Jacob Batalon returning to star in the horror comedy. The series ranks as cable’s No. 2 scripted program in total viewers and 18-49.
The Ark season two returns for its second season at a date to be determined in the summer after serving as Syfy’s most-watched rookie series since 2021 in both total viewers and 18-49. The sci-fi drama from Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner stars Christine Burke.
SurralEstate, which revolves around realtors who handled haunted and possessed houses, stars Tim Rozon and Sarah Levy. Season two of the series ranked as cable’s No. 2 scripted in its time slot among total viewers and 18-49.
The news was announced Wednesday ahead of Syfy’s time at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, where the network held a panel for the third season of Resident Alien. The mystery comedy starring Alan Tudyk returns Feb. 14.
The Ark, Resident Alien, Reginald the Vampire, SurrealEstate and Chucky constitue Syfy’s entire roster of scripted originals.
