MEDIA RELEASE: Cineflix Rights unveils London TV Screenings slate
Cineflix Rights has unveiled its lineup for the London TV Screenings 2024, with a slate of more than 100 hours of new scripted and unscripted series alongside returning seasons of some of its biggest brands.
Leading the distributor’s scripted slate is So Long, Marianne, (8×60’, Redpoint Productions, C3 Media, and Tanweer Productions for NRK, Norway, Crave, Canada, ITVX, UK, ARD’s Fabfiction, Germany, Cosmote TV and Star Channel, Greece, and Movies Best HD, Cyprus) which tells the legendary love story between Canadian singer and poet Leonard Cohen and Marianne Ihlen. It’s an intimate tale of two lonely people falling in love during a period of their life when they are trying to figure out who they are and their place in the world, while one is becoming one of the most famous singers of all time.
Cameras are rolling on Wynonna Earp: Vengeance (1×90’, SEVEN24 Films in association with Cineflix Studios for Tubi), the new Special of the beloved drama in which creator and showrunner Emily Andras and the original cast led by Melanie Scrofano reunite once again for the cult fan-favourite following Wyatt Earp’s great-granddaughter as she battles demons and other supernatural beings.
In Memoriam (8×60’, Passez-Go and C3 Media for Crave, Canada) is a French-language psychological thriller, about a family torn apart as they battle for their father’s inheritance through taking part in a series of increasingly sinister challenges he has contrived.
New titles in Cineflix Rights’ London TV Screenings factual slate include:
Amanda Owen’s Farming Lives (6×60’, Wise Owl Films for Channel 4, UK), follows Britain’s most famous shepherdess, best-selling author, and mother of nine as she criss-crosses some of the UK’s most breathtaking landscapes to immerse herself in the day-to-day life of six very different farms that have had to diversify to survive.
Police 999: Clear and Present Danger (6×60’, Crackit Productions for Channel 5, UK), features raw bodycam footage captured in the line of duty to give viewers a front-row seat to the most extreme law-enforcement calls in Britain, from attacks and arrests to dramatic stakeouts, raids, chases, and rescues.
Sue Perkins into Alaska (3×60’, Chalkboard TV and GroupM Motion Entertainment for Channel 5, UK) follows the beloved comedian and TV presenter on a daring adventure at the edge of civilization as she
puts herself to the test and heads way off the beaten track to explore the state’s rich history, culture, and communities.
Ainsley’s Taste of Malta (5×60’, Rock Oyster Media Productions for ITV, UK) in which Chef Ainsley Harriott explores the effervescent culture and cuisine of a historic island paradise in a series packed with sunshine, laughter, and incredible food.
Jimmy’s Taste of Florida (5×60’, Rock Oyster Media Productions for ITV, UK) joins celebrated chef and TV presenter Jimmy Doherty for a glittering gastronomic tour of the Sunshine State as he teams up with some of the region’s best-known chefs to cook up a mouth-watering array of Florida-inspired dishes in amazing locations across the state.
These new titles join returning seasons of factual hits including Mayday: Air Disaster (Season 25, 10×60’, Cineflix Productions for Discovery, Canada; Smithsonian, US; and National Geographic Channel International), and The Yorkshire Auction House (Season 4, 20×60’, STV Studios for Discovery, UK) together with scripted series Reginald the Vampire (Season 2, 10×60’, Modern Story, December Films, Great Pacific Media and Cineflix Studios for SYFY, US), Last King of The Cross (Season 2, 8×60’, HELIUM for Paramount+, Australia), and Whitstable Pearl (Season 3, 6×60’, Buccaneer for Acorn TV, UK).
