Cineflix Rights closes multiple international deals for 270 hours of Canadian produced content

15 June 2026 — Cineflix Rights has announced multiple international deals for more than 270 hours of content from some of Canada’s leading production companies, in advance of the 2026 Banff World Media Festival.  

Idéacom International’s Can Dogs Talk? (1×60’, CBC Canada, Radio-Canada, PBS Nova USA, and Arte France and Germany) has been picked up by Movistar (Spain), NHK (Japan), and RSI (Switzerland); additionally, Little Sapiens (1×60’, CBC, Canada) has been acquired by TeleMadrid (Spain).

Scott Brothers Entertainment’s Top of the Block (40×30’, HGTV Canada) has been picked up by AMC Multicanal (Iberia), while Property Brothers: Under Pressure (14×60’, HGTV, US and Canada) has sold to Mediaset (Spain) and AMC Multicanal (Iberia).

Shark Teeth Films’ Ancient Justice (10×60’) has been picked up by Hearst (Germany); Building Bad(10×60, Crave, Canada) has sold to AMC Multicanal (Iberia); and Vanished History (10×60’, Bell Media, Canada) has been acquired by Mediaset (Italy).

Cream Productions’ Deep Water Secrets (8×60’, Hearst Networks UK and EMEA) has been bought by AMC Multicanal (Iberia), while DRTV (Denmark) has bought Season 2 of An Optimist’s Guide to the Planet (6×60’, Bloomberg US and Bell Media Canada).

Go Button Media’s Oracles and Prophets (10×60’, Super Channel Canada) has been acquired by the Foxtel Group (Australia), while Alien Corridors (8×60’, Super Channel Canada and Hearst Networks EMEA) has sold to AMC Multicanal (Iberia).

Seasons 1 and 2 of Cineflix’s Property Brothers: Buying + Selling (52×60’, HGTV US and Canada) havebeen bought by Mediaset (Spain) and UK network Channel 4’s E4 Extra (all seasons, 104×60’). Additionally, TF1 (France) has acquired Season 2 of Somebody’s Hiding Something (20×60’, Bell MediaCanada, Hearst Networks EMEA, and Justice Network US), coproduced by C3 Media, Cineflix, and First Story Productions; and C3 Media’s Around the World with 30 Kilos (3×60’, Crave, Canada) has been acquired by Mediawan (France).
