Adrenaline-Charged Fact-Based Drama Gangland Undercover Rides Again, September 26 On History

September 19, 2016

Cineflix announced today the much-anticipated Season 2 premiere of Gangland Undercover, debuting Monday, September 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HISTORY. The gripping, fact-based drama series takes viewers to the frontline of an East Coast biker war, as rival gangs fight over territory. The eight-episode season of Gangland Undercover picks up Charles Falco’s (Canadian Damon Runyan) story as he seeks refuge from the aftermath of Operation 22 Green against the Vagos. Nearly two years after the busts, a restless Falco signs up for a new undercover operation—this time against the Mongols and Outlaws Motorcycle Clubs.

Featuring a slate of new and recurring characters, Damon Runyan is joined by fellow Canadian actors Thomas Mitchell (REDMurdoch Mysteries), Hannah Anderson (Shoot the MessengerLost Girl), Stephen Eric McIntyre (High LifeThe Lookout), Shaun Benson (Channel ZeroSaving Hope), Ian Matthews (Lost Girl, A History of Violence), Joanne Boland (Train 48Deadliest Sea), and Ari Cohen (Small Town Murder SongsMaps to the Stars).

“This latest chapter of Falco’s story will take viewers on an adrenaline filled ride into a new and dangerous world of one percenter motorcycle clubs” said Stephen Kemp, Executive Producer, Cineflix Productions. “Struggling to build a new life and haunted by his past, Falco agrees to take a dangerous new assignment as part of an unlikely team infiltrating one of America’s most notorious biker gangs.”

“We’re thrilled to share another edge-of-your-seat season of Gangland Undercover with audiences,” said Daniel Eves, Senior Vice President, Kids and General Entertainment Content, Corus Entertainment, “Through its captivating storytelling and the cast’s profound performances, this series captures the reality of these infamous biker gangs and their culture.”

Season two of Gangland Undercover sees Falco pushed to the limit as he joins ranks with Bullet (Thomas Mitchell): a relentlessly driven undercover agent with a personal grudge against biker clubs. Together, they recruit a team of informants to infiltrate not just the Mongols, but also their notoriously violent rivals: the Outlaws, the Pagans, and the Merciless Souls. Before long, Falco finds himself plunged into a world darker and more dangerous than he ever bargained for.

The new season’s opening theme song, We Will Not Go Quietly, is written and performed by Sixx:A.M. The song will be featured on the band’s upcoming album, Vol. 2, Prayers For The Blessed(out November 11), and available for purchase October 14 for those who pre-order the album. Comprised of rock luminaries, Nikki Sixx, Dj Ashba, and James Michael, Sixx:A.M. are currently touring across Canada, and will head out across the U.S. beginning October 18 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The new season of Gangland Undercover is inspired by Charles Falco’s 2013 memoir, Vagos, Mongols, and Outlaws: My Infiltration of America’s Deadliest Biker Gangs. Drawing on the wealth of material from Falco’s book, along with broader documented historical research of inter-gang rivalries, the series captures the reality of outlaw biker counter-culture: a world in which freedom is equated with the right to wield weapons and trade drugs with impunity—and respect is earned through fear.

Gangland Undercover season 2 is produced by Cineflix (Bikers 2) Inc. in association with A&E Television Networks, LLC and Corus Entertainment. The writers are Stephen Kemp and Noel Baker (Hard Core Logo) and the directors are Stephen Kemp, Bradley Walsh, and John L’ Ecuyer. Stephen Kemp and Charles Tremayne are among Cineflix’s Executive Producers.

In addition to providing unparalleled vocals, Michael is also a highly acclaimed producer, having worked with Kelly Clarkson, Halestorm, and Papa Roach, and boasts the producing and mixing credits for all of the SIXX:A.M. albums released. To date, the band has released 4 studio albums; The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack (2007), This Is Gonna Hurt (2011), and Modern Vintage (2014), and Vol. 1, Prayers For The Damned (2016) and 3 EP’s; X-Mas In Hell (2008), Live Is Beautiful (2008), and 7 (2011). Vol.2, Prayers for the Blessed is due out November 11, 2016. The band has come a long way since their live debut in 2007 at Crash Mansion, performing 5 songs off of The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack, an audible, introspective recall of Sixx’s autobiography, The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star. A hero for the cause, Nikki spoke on the epidemic in Washington during National Recovery Day, creating an even deeper, more personable bond with the artists. In combination with it’s success and topical importance, The Heroin Diaries is currently being made into a Broadway play, further proving its topic’s impact and importance to society. With so much to say and a passion for performing, Sixx penned his next book, This Is Gonna Hurt, that was soon accompanied by an album of the same name. Both books received notoriety as New York Times bestsellers. This began the band’s longstanding relationship with their fans that has been built off of trust, relatabiity, and honesty, in combination with their heavy-hitting rock anthems. Since, the trio have performed alongside rock mainstays such as Mötley Crüe, and headlined a nearly sold out 2015 US tour with special guest Apocolyptica. SIXX:A.M. have been facing one of the busiest years of their career confident and undaunted, packing 2016 with the release of a double album in two installments, touring the globe, co-headlining nearly all of the major US rock festivals including Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Rocklahoma as well as playing the biggest European summer festivals such as Download Festival, Rock am Ring, Sweden Roc Gods of Metal and many more. Having sold over 1 million albums globally, SIXX:A.M. have set the bar for rock excellence and this year will solidify their spot as genre royalty.
