Apple Strikes Co-Production Deal for Thrilling Original Series Tehran

New series from writer Moshe Zonder and Kan 11 to join Apple TV+ Original Slate

Tehran, a highly anticipated, new espionage thriller from Fauda writer Moshe Zonder, is set to join Apple’s growing slate of sweeping international drama series. Apple has partnered with Cineflix Rights and Israeli network Kan 11 to co-produce Tehran, and Apple TV+ will be the exclusive streaming home to the series around the world.

Tehran tells the utterly thrilling story of a Mossad agent who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran that places her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy. The series stars young Israeli actress Niv Sultan (FlawlessShe Has ItTemporarily Dead); critically acclaimed actor Shaun Toub (HomelandCrash); international star Navid Negahban (HomelandLegionAladdin); Shervin Alebani (Baghdad in My Shadow); Liraz Charhi (A Late Quartet); and Menashe Noy (Big Bad WolvesGett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem).

The series is created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn, and directed by Daniel Syrkin. Zonder also serves as writer alongside Omri Shenhar. The series is executive produced by Dana Eden, Shula Spiegel, Alon Aranya, Julien Leroux, Peter Emerson and Eldad Koblenz; and produced by Donna and Shula Productions in association with Paper Plane Productions, with the participation of Cineflix Rights and Cosmote TV.
