Cineflix Rights acquires raft of new shows from ITN Productions

March 24, 2020

Cineflix Rights has signed a deal with ITN Productions which sees the distributor taking exclusive worldwide rights to a raft of new factual series and one-off documentaries.

The Clues That Caught the Killer (3×60’, Channel 5, UK) is a captivating documentary series that dissects Britain’s most shocking murders. And, in the face of gang violence, a lack of forensic evidence and witnesses too terrified to speak, reveals how a team of hardworking investigators ultimately delivered justice for the victims and their devastated families.

The New Scotland Yard Files (10×60’, CBS Reality, UK) meets detectives at the UK’s most famous police station as they open their case files to tell the inside story of how they outsmarted the capital’s most notorious killers. Weaving together in-depth interviews and evocative reconstructions, this gripping true crime series takes viewers through every twist and turn of each investigation, revealing just what it takes to uncover the truth.

Secret Life of the Forest (4×60’, Channel 5, UK) takes audiences deep into England’s most vast and varied forest, documenting the work of foresters, ecologists, and rangers tasked with caring for their landscape. The series utilises innovative filming methods to capture the forest’s wildlife from the canopy to the forest floor—including red squirrels, roe deer, pipistrelle bats, otters, and ospreys—as the woodland changes through the seasons.

Battle of the Super Eaters: 3,000 Calories a Minute (1×60’, Channel 4, UK)follows some of Britain’s top competitive eaters as they fight the clock and one another for grease and glory. For some, the quest leads to major league showdowns in the US, but along the way, a medical expert asks tough questions about the dark side of swallowing a week’s worth of calories in only a few minutes.

Richard Life, Head of Acquisitions, Cineflix Rights, said: “ITN Productions consistently delivers high-quality, blue-chip content with international appeal. The Queen’s Green Planet was really successful with our buyers, so we’re thrilled to be expanding our relationship with these new deals.”

Ian Rumsey, Director of TV Production, ITN Productions, added: “We’re delighted to have done a deal with Cineflix Rights which enables more of our shows to be watched by more people in more countries around the world.”

The deal was closed by Catherine McCormick, Manager, Acquisitions, Cineflix Rights.
