Cineflix Rights celebrates double award win for Dougray Scott and Irvine Welsh’s Crime
Cineflix Rights is celebrating a double award win for international hit drama series Irvine Welsh’s Crime with actor Dougray Scott taking home both the International Emmy® Award for Best Performance by an Actor and BAFTA® Scotland Actor Television award for his role as DI Ray Lennox.
Irvine Welsh’s Crime (12x 60’, Seasons 1&2, Buccaneer and Off Grid Film & TV for ITVX/BritBox) follows Detective Inspector Ray Lennox (Dougray Scott, Mission: Impossible 2,Batwoman), a man engaged in his own disturbing battle while undertaking serious crime investigations in a city on the edge of the abyss. The series, adapted by acclaimed author Irvine Welsh from his own novels, also stars John Simm (Life on Mars, Grace), Joanna Vanderham (Warrior, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Angela Griffin (Harlots, White Lines), Ken Stott (The Dig, Fortitude), and Jamie Sives (Guilt, Too Close).
The series has sold to broadcasters and platforms internationally including CBC (Canada), RTE (Ireland), VRT (Belgium), POLAR+ and CANAL+ Group (France), NPO (Netherlands), Hot (Israel), Yes (Israel), Magenta TV (Germany), Corus (Canada – Quebec), and Britbox (USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand).
