Cineflix Rights signs content deals with UK broadcasters
Cineflix Rights, one of the UK’s largest independent TV content distributors, has signed multiple deals with UK broadcasters for more than 200 hours of lifestyle and crime and investigation programming.
UKTV has bought two of Cineflix Rights’ most popular lifestyle shows, Brother Vs Brother (Seasons 1-4, 22×60’, Scott Brothers Entertainment) pits Jonathan and Drew Scott against each other as they both mentor a team of home-improvement experts to raise property values; while Emmy®-nominated Property Brothers (Seasons 5-7, 78×60’, Cineflix Productions) follows the brothers as they help families find, buy, and transform extreme fixer-uppers into the ultimate budget-friendly dream home.
CBS Reality has tapped into Cineflix Rights’ extensive crime and investigation slate, taking titles including Cold Blood (Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9, 62×60’, Cineflix Productions) and Wives with Knives (Season 1, 6×60’, Indigo Films).
BSKYB has bought the newest addition to Cineflix Rights’ Border Security franchise, Border Security: America’s Front Line (28×30’, Force Four) alongside Extreme Prison Breaks (12×30’, Cineflix Productions).
Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Crime and investigation programming is one of the fastest growing genres in the UK market at the moment as broadcasters see how well it does internationally for both dedicated and mainstream channels. Our extensive slate means we’re positioned well to meet this demand. I’m also pleased to see the Property Brothers brands continuing to grow in the UK where I’m sure Jonathan and Drew will prove to be as popular as they are in many other countries around the world.”
The deals were closed by Sandra Piha, SVP Program Sales, Pan-Regional, UK, Éire, and Scandinavia.
