Cineflix Rights, the UK’s largest independent TV content distributor, has closed a number of deals with Italian and French networks for over 200 hours of content from third party producers and Cineflix Productions.

Sky Italia has taken more than 120 hours of programming including long-running crime strand Motives & Murders (Seasons 1-4, 43×60’, Cineflix Productions) and Channel 4’s ratings hit The Secret World of Lego (1×60’, Waddell Media).

Discovery Italy has bought into Cineflix Rights’ expanding Border Security franchise, taking newest title Border Security: America’s Front Line (28×30’, Force Four) alongside Season 9 of Border Security (20×30’, Seven Network). The broadcaster has also acquired popular crime series Murder Book (Seasons 1 and 2, 23×60’, LMNO Productions)

Cineflix Rights’ history slate has proven successful with RMC Découverte, with the French broadcaster buying WWII’s Greatest Raids (6×60’, Impossible Pictures Factual) and Hitler the Junkie (1×60’, Waddell Media).

Fellow French broadcaster AB Sat has taken more than 50 hours including fan favourite Unusual Suspects (Seasons 4-7, 46 x 60’, LMNO Productions) as well as science strands How Britain Bridges the World (1×60’, Title Role Productions) and Cooler Facts (6×30’, Cineflix Productions). Meanwhile Voyage France has taken Secrets of America’s Favorite Places (8×60’, Indigo Films).

The deals were closed by Sabrina Ayala, who has recently been promoted to SVP Sales, France, Italy, Iberia, and Latin America.

Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Cineflix Rights has seen consistent growth in the French and Italian markets in the last 24 months, expanding our network of clients and increasing the number of deals with existing broadcasters. Off the back of this success and our continued progress in Latin America, I’m delighted to announce Sabrina’s promotion to SVP of these key territories.”
