MEDIA RELEASE: Cineflix Rights closes North American content deals in advance of Realscreen West

Cineflix Rights has closed a raft of international deals for content from North American producer partners in the run up to Realscreen West 2023.

Cult Justice (8×60’, Law&Crime Productions for True Crime Network, US), featuring the chilling true stories of false prophets who thought they were above the law, has sold to Sky (DACH), Canal+ (France) and TV4 (Sweden).

History of the Sitcom (8×60’, Cream Productions for CNN Original Series, US), which reunites audiences with the sitcom friends, families, and co-workers they’ve loved watching over the years, has been bought by Canal+ (France), SBS (Australia), DRTV (Denmark), TVNZ (New Zealand), CLT (Netherlands and Luxembourg), Yes (Israel), CBC Gem (Canada), and Chek TV (Canada).

A+E Networks EMEA has acquired Ghost Ships (4×60’, Arcadia Entertainment for Bell, Canada), which follows a team of ocean adventurers, battling against the harsh marine environment as they uncover the truth about some historic maritime catastrophes, for its channels in the UK, Eire, Poland, Romania, and Hungary.

O.J. Simpson: Blood, Lies & Murder (2×60’, Buck Productions in association with Connect3 Media for REELZ, US), which re-examines the most notorious double-murder investigation of all time and reveals shocking new evidence that points straight to the killer, has been acquired by AMC CRIME (Iberia).

Kings of Coke (1×90’, Connect3 Media and Urbania Media for Bell Media, Canada), chronicling the rise of one of North America’s biggest criminal organizations based in the unlikely location of Montreal, along with the cops and journalists who relentlessly pursued its three leaders, has been acquired by Sky (UK and DACH), Planète (France), and Foxtel (Australia).

The deals with Canal+, Planète and AMC CRIME were closed by Sabrina Ayala, SVP, Sales, France, Italy, and Iberia; Chris Bluett, SVP, Sales, Asia Pacific and Benelux closed the deals with SBS, Foxtel, TVNZ and CLT. The deals with Sky were closed by Lucinda Gergley-Garner, SVP, Sales, North America and DACH; Sandra Piha, SVP, Sales, Pan-Regional, UK, Eire, and Scandinavia closed the deals with with A+E Networks (UK), TV4 and DRTV; and Lucy Rawson, VP, Sales, Africa, CEE, Middle East, and Southern Mediterranean, closed the deals with A+E Networks (Poland, Romania, and Hungary) and Yes.
