MEDIA RELEASE: Cineflix Rights closes raft of deals for Manayek and The Minister
Cineflix Rights has announced a raft of international deals for two leading titles from its slate of international dramas.
ARTE has bought Seasons 2 and 3of Israeli thriller Manayek (20×60’, Yoav Gross Productions for Kan 11, Israel) for viewers in France and Germany, the story of a veteran Internal Affairs investigator who stumbles upon a police corruption case where the prime suspect is his best friend. As he digs deeper, the two veteran cops find themselves on opposite sides of the law—locked in a ruthless game of cat-and-mouse.
HBO Max Nordics and SBS (Australia) have acquired Seasons 1 and 2 of Icelandic political saga The Minister (Seasons 1&2, 16×60’, Sagafilm for RUV, Iceland, SVT, Sweden, NRK, Norway, DR, Denmark, YLE, Finland), starring Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Trapped, True Detective) as Benedikt Ríkharðsson, the Icelandic Prime Minister whose medical condition threatens the stability of the government and the private lives of the team around him.

We’re delighted to announce further sales of two of our successful returning series in Manayek and The Minister.”
The deal with ARTE was brokered by Sabrina Ayala, Sales Consultant, Iberia, Italy, French-speaking Europe and French Canada. The deal with HBO Max Nordics was closed by Sandra Piha, SVP, Sales, Pan-Regional, UK, Eire, and Scandinavia and Chris Bluett, SVP, Sales, Asia Pacific and Benelux closed the deal with SBS.
